NWSRA conducts a variety of year round recreation programs for individuals with mental and physical disabilities of all ages. These recreational programs provide excellent hands on experience for those  individuals thinking about a career in teaching, recreation, social work or other related professions. We offer many after school, evening and weekend programs in the following areas:
- Sports
- Arts & Crafts
- Trips
- Camps
- Social Clubs
- Special Olympics Training Programs
- Swimming
- Bowling
Most of our staff members are certified in First Aid, CPR, Lifeguarding, Water Safety Instruction and have commercial driver's licenses. Staff:
The professional recreation staff at NWSRA holds degrees in Therapeutic Recreation or related fields and certification with state and/or national professional organizations.
