Following is a listing of community organizations dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities in our communities:
  • Autism Home Support Services
    • AHSS is one of the leading providers of one-on-one services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in the United States, providing center-based and in-home services as well as educational consulting. We believe in collaborating with the ABA and autism community to achieve better outcomes for people with autism.
  • Bartlett Public Library District
    • Best Place to Learn & Discover! The Bartlett Public Library District provides a wide variety of materials, programs and services to benefit the community. From books, movies, music, computer classes, video gaming and career networking strategies  to storytime, science, history and family fun, the Library is the “Best Place to Learn and Discover” entertainment and information for all ages.
  • Center for Health Services

    • Center for Health Services provide education, health care and support for children and adults with special needs. Our goal is to find cures and help save lives for families with Autism, Down Syndrome, Diabetes, Sickle Cell Disease and Anemia.

  • Center for Law & Social Work

    • The Center for Law and Social Work provides legal and social work services to help grandparents and other caregivers plan for the future and keep their families together.

  • Clearbrook

    • Clearbrook is committed to being a leader in creating innovative opportunities, services and supports to people with disabilities.

  • Connect to Community

    • CTC is dedicated to helping families build a better life for their young adults with developmental disabilities through employment, social/volunteer opportunities and creative day options. With a focus on transition-related topics, we also offer educational seminars and informational tours for parents, educators and service providers.

  • Indian Trails Public Library

    • Proudly serving residents in Wheeling, Buffalo Grove and Prospect Heights by providing services, programs and materials to enage and enrich our communities.

  • Mount Prospect Public Library

    • The Mount Prospect Public Library exists to promote and support education and lifelong learning, build community, and connect people to information resources, and opportunities for enrichment and leisure. For special needs patrons, the Youth Department lends special needs toys, and holds programs such as sensory storytimes and playtimes, and all services are adaptable.

  • Hands On Suburban Chicago

    • Our mission is to inspire, equip and mobilize people to volunteer and take action that builds vibrant and prosperous communities.

  • Special Needs Chicago

    • Special Needs Chicago provides wheelchair accessible transportation throughout the Chicago metropolitan area (city & suburbs) for persons with mobility devices, those that ambulate but need assistance, and people with cognitive challenges that require special attention.

  • Schaumburg Township District Library

    • The Schaumburg Library hosts NextGen events for Adults Facing Social Challenges--social opportunities for adults with high-functioning autism and Asperger's, and others facing social challenges.

  • Salute, Inc

    • To passionately pursue meeting the financial, physical and emotional needs of military service members, veterans and their families. We strive to raise awareness of their sacrifices and provide a safety net to ensure every military family is treated with honor and dignity.

  • Wheeling Township Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group

    • The support group is designed to provide emotional, educational and social support for caregivers through monthly meetings.
